Matt TaylorMy path came full-circle when Immersion Labs was established.
I started programming video games when I was 10 years old. An avid gamer, I designed what I refer to as the "first 3D gaming environment" when I was 15 years old using the BASIC programming language. During this time, I was also developing projects in the D&D universe of role-playing games. Exhibiting "advanced proficiency in game development, storytelling, table and chart creation, creature and environment development," at the age of 13, I received a ranking of Grandmaster GameMaster. (Eh, the certificate looked cool.)
When I started Immersion Labs, I entered as a naive and inexperienced upstart with big dreams. I wanted to become a game designer. Instead, I became an administrator with little to no time for developing creative content. This will, of course, change over time.
What matters is the dreams live on.
My bravado is based on confidence not arrogance or deception. I deliver because I love what I do and I am good at it. I've faced and overcome many obstacles in what I call the "Crucible of Creation." From starting this company to bouncing back from multiple adversities, I have been the stabilizing force at Immersion Labs during tumultuous times. I know I can do whatever I set out to do. Neither quitting nor failure are options. Besting the challenges which will come is all I can do... and that is exactly what I do every single day. I'm not a Playboy. I produce. From team building to content creation, my focus is on success.
